Constant re-invention. That's what jazz is all about. And Shoestring Swing has just re-invented itself — by adding 4 new members and new "old" tunes to their play list!
The group's small size allows up-beat, intimate treatments of jazz standards from the Swing Era. Bandleader John Malmström explains: "We're interested creating new versions of favourite tunes and re-discovering forgotten gems. This music was meant to be fun, vital… even edgy at times. And while we strive for an easy-to-enjoy, historical sound, each musician brings new ideas and constant experimentation"
